The Last Dragon Hunter
Fantasy Short Film
'When a young saxon boy runs away following his father's death in battle, he embarks on an exciting journey filled with tales of warriors, gods and monsters.'
This short film was commissioned by Stoke-On-Trent City Council to be played in the Staffordshire Hoard exhibition at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke-On-Trent. The purpose of it is to engage children in elements of Saxon life, myth and legend. The film showcases a mix of live action film shot by myself with animation by BigRED Studios.
"It was great collaborating with Rob and Karen (of BigRED Studios). I've always wanted to direct animation; you can have massive dragons, epic battles and fearsome wolves that you can't film in live action without millions of dollars."
--Chris Stone, Director
The film had it's premiere on 25th October 2013 and is currently playing on loop in the Staffordshire Hoard 'Kingdom of Mercia' exhibition.
