Goodbye Happiness

Steampunk Horror Music Video
'Goodbye Happiness' is a music video made for Midlands based Steampunk band 'Birthrite'.

The song was used as the title theme of Chris' Victorian vampire web series 'Blood and Bone China'. The video intercuts between the four piece band playing in their steampunk costumes in a manor house and scenes from the web series.

"The second I heard the song, I knew that it was perfect for the web series. It's powerful, dark and all of the lyrics relate well to the story of 'Blood and Bone China.' I'm genuinely a fan of Birthrite's music and have their album on loop when I'm driving! They are great guys, they're really easy to work with and we all had a fantastic time shooting the video. However, the edit was an incredibly difficult and time consuming job, as I had to tell a condensed version of 'Blood and Bone China' in 3 minutes without giving away too much of the story. Hopefully by the end of the music video, the audience will be enthralled by the imagery and they will want to watch the whole series and buy Birthrite's album!"

--Chris Stone, Director

The song was a massive hit with fans of 'Blood and Bone China' and Birthrite were over the moon to find out that they had won 'Best Theme Song' at the 2012 Indie Intertube Awards.
