Chris Stone is an award-winning creative film-maker specialising in features, short films, web series, music videos and actors' showreels.
Chris has worked for the BBC, filmed music videos in LA, shot a Royal Television Society nominated documentary in New York and won several awards in Hollywood. His work has been screened on MTV, ITV and the BBC and premiered at the BFI Southbank and Pinewood Studios.
Over the years, he has completed an impressive array of films and stunning music videos, developing his own atmospheric and bold visual style. Though his films range widely in setting and period, they frequently showcase memorable stories with larger than life heroes and thrilling action sequences. He has been largely influenced by glossy Hollywood blockbusters such as Star Wars, the James Bond series and the Indiana Jones movies.
Initially a traditional short film-maker, Chris realised that the way forward was to move his work to the internet. He instantly gained a wider audience and has built up a global fan base and strong social media following.
His first web series 'Blood and Bone China', a twelve part Victorian vampire adventure, won 'Best Web Series of 2011' at the Indie Intertube Awards and has been viewed over 300,000 times on YouTube.
Chris also hosts seminars and practical lessons on film-making and web series production around the country, including at the UK's largest film festival Raindance.
At the moment Chris is working on a new espionage web series called 'Year of Spies'. Inspired by his love for the spy genre, each exciting episode is themed around a month of the year. To find out more about the project and to get involved, please visit the official website.
